Dmitry Pirog is a former professional boxer from Russia. He was born on August 27, 1980 and began his professional boxing career in 2005. Pirog is known for his impressive record, with 20 wins including 15 knockouts and no losses during his career.
Pirog held the WBO middleweight title from 2010 to 2012, defeating Daniel Jacobs in a fifth-round knockout to win the title. He successfully defended his title against Gennady Golovkin in a highly anticipated fight in 2012, but was forced to retire from boxing later that year due to a back injury.
